Because we've never met a 'standard' couple. Our packages are all individually tailored to each of our couples, so they only include what you want. We are more than happy to provide quotes for any package you might be interested in, or for comparison with other suppliers.
I encourage all of my couples to have a pre-wedding shoot, and include this option free when you choose at least 6 hours of wedding coverage. It provides an excellent opportunity for us to get to know each other better and for you to become more comfortable in front of the camera.
The session will normally last around a couple of hours, but this is plenty of time for us to discover what you like (and dislike) about having your photograph taken and what feels more comfortable and natural for both of you.
After your pre-wedding shoot, you will be expecting a friendly face at your wedding, and it will allow me to capture you at your best: relaxed and being yourselves.
It hasn't happened yet, and obviously I would do everything in my power to attend. If for some reason I was totally unable to be there mysself, I have a number of other wedding photographers that I could call on to try to take my place. I am also a member of the SWPP, and could use their facilities to help identify a suitable replacement.
I have both public liability and professional indemity insurance. It is recommended that you ensure that any photographer you consider for your wedding coverage has both of these. These policies do not cover cancellations from clients, and I would recommend a couple take out their own wedding insurance for peace of mind.
That depends on how long your wedding celebrations last, and what is involved. I'll be taking photos for the majority of the time that I'm there, but that doesn't mean you'll be waiting for me. Most couples like some formal group shots, but I usually recommend keeping these to a minimum. I also strongly recommend taking a few minutes away from your guests to get some pictures of just the two of you. Most couples are thankful for the time to appreciate each other and to enjoy a break from the whirlwind that is most wedding days.
I do not charge expenses for any wedding location within an hourís drive of Bath. Beyond that would be considered on a case by case basis.
Yes, providing you choose this as part of your package. I would always recommend having an album in addition to the electronic files, either one we design and supply for you, or one you produce yourself using our images.
No. In fact I would not shoot more than one wedding per weekend, unless they were unusually short. I don't believe that a photographer can be 100% focussed on a wedding if they have another in the back of their mind.
